FOUNTAIN VALLEY LODGE #191
April 2007 Trestleboard
Well, here we are into another month.
Last month brought along some interesting events.
Probably the most important being the Grand Lodge meeting in
Grand Junction
. After several excursions to the
airport we finally found our direction to the Lodge where we had a great
BBQ feed. If it had not been for a
sign given to us I don't believe we would have found our direction.
The food and fellowship was great. After
the dinner we were introduced to a sneak peak at a new tool for membership.
It was a new DVD with some hi-tech production techniques.
At our stated meeting we read two new petitions and look forward to doing
the degree work. We also voted a new
man to receive the degrees of Masonry. If
things go well we will attempt to do an EA degree on Tuesday February 20th.
(Postponed until March.)
I would also like to remember our Brothers who fell ill this last month.
Br. Harper fell on some ice and broke his arm.
Hope the pain has subsided. WB
Bob Cook came down with the shingles. I
know for a fact that this is not comfortable and wish him the best in his
recovery. Br. Sampsel is still
recovering from being hit by an automobile several months ago. Br. Bryan we wish
you a speedy recovery and remember to look well while crossing the streets.
Also keep
Brs.
Park
and Reinking and their families in your prayers for deaths of family members
during February..
I would like to remind our members that our stated meetings are on the
first Tuesday of each month and invite all to attend.
If any Brother needs assistance in getting to a meeting I hope they will
feel free to contact any of us for a lift. That’s
what Brother do.
Thanks to all the staff for another great job on opening and closing the
lodge this month. Also, remember our
troops in your prayers.
Note: the stated
meeting in March will be Worst Shirt and Tie night – clean out the closets!

Master
